The question we are going to focus on today is:
Why do we always focus on negativity?
Let's try to practice focusing on the positive and having a more positive mindset. Why do we always think the worst? As humans, our brains are naturally wired to focus on the negative. WHY?? Because it's easier. It is especially easy to focus on the negativity in today's world, because of all the stuff that is happening right now.
But, we have control over one thing: OUR MINDSET.
Let's learn how to change our negative mindset into a positive one.
#1: Don't watch the news
Getting constant news updates is not helpful for our mindset. Picking up our phone for every notification can contribute to anxiety and and automatically thinking in a negative mindset.
#2: Express gratitude
I think sometimes we forget how lucky we are and how blessed we are for the things that we have. Be grateful for the little things. I would like you to take some time each day and write down three things you are grateful for. Doing this will be a great reminder for all the great things we have in our lives, when sometimes these are overlooked.
#3: Look for the good
Write out your wins, write out the things you are proud of, write out the good things that have happened in your day.
It is okay to think about something you can improve on, something you can do better at. Think about it, reflect on it, and then move on. Don't get stuck in a negativity cycle. This is a sure way to beat down your confidence.
Take time out of each day to really focus on the positive things in your life. This will grow your confidence and help you in many aspects in your daily life.
